Welcome to Escondido Golf & Lake Club, a private member-owned lakeside golf preserve.

 
Our goal is to provide every guest of the club an enjoyable day and a memorable golf experience. To help to prepare for your visit, the Escondido Golf Professional staff asks that you read through the following guest guidelines. Should you have a special request for a visit please do not hesitate to contact the Golf Shop at (830) 598-5301.

  
Smartphone Use

Escondido allows limited use of your mobile device. Texting and emailing are allowed without being intrusive to others. Please refrain from using your smartphone in public areas (restaurant, bar, driving range, etc…)
  

Proper Golf Attire

Men, women, and children are required to wear proper golf attire at the Practice Facility and on the Golf Course. Males are required to wear a collared shirt and slacks or Bermuda-style shorts (no workout pants, jeans, cargos). Ladies may also wear skirts, skorts and golf style sport shirts. Turtlenecks and sweaters are also suitable. Footwear must be worn at all times and may either be golf shoes or athletic shoes.

  • No denim, cut-offs, athletic/tennis shorts. No tank tops, tube tops or bathing suits.
  • Men’s shirts must be tucked in at all times.
  • Shorts must be at least mid-thigh in length.
  • Closed toe shoes must be worn at all times. No bare feet.
  • Caps are to be worn in the forward position.

  
Guest Play Etiquette

To ensure enjoyment for everyone, we simply ask that all golfers respect the course, other players and our professional staff.
 

Caddie Requirements

Any sponsored guest or unaccompanied group will be required to take a forecaddie. There will be a caddie reservation fee. The caddie gratuity is to be paid directly to the caddie in cash.
 

Golf Carts

Escondido occupies a pristine natural environment. Please keep golf carts on the cart paths around tees and greens. Golf carts are never allowed to drive in the delicate native areas.
 

Tipping Policy

Escondido is a non-tipping facility. The exception to the non-tipping rule is the gratuity paid to the caddies. We appreciate your cooperation with this policy.
